KADUUKAGRAM

Kaduukagram is a tribute to the enduring legacy of my mother, Harriet Namusisi – a passionate traveler, businesswoman and cultural enthusiast. Her life’s journey, captured through photographs and journals, sparked my own deep appreciation for culture, heritage and the stories that crafts the tell.

Inspired by her, I ventured into photography, capturing the essence of cultural weddings and the intricate craftsmanship that sustains communities across Uganda. Though trained as an accountant, my passion for the arts and culture ultimately led me to create Kaduukagram.

Mission

Our Mission at Kaduukagram is to honor the artisans who, like my mother, have dedicated their lives to preserving and celebrating cultural heritage. This platform is more than e-commerce site, its a celebration of creativity, tradition and community. We aim to bring the beauty and significance of heritage crafts to the global stage, while ensuring that the artisans who create these pieces are fairly compensated and supported.

Why we do it?

Every item sold on Kaduukagram tells a story . These crafts are not just products; they are a reflection of rich histories, diverse cultures and the hands that shaped them . By purchasing from Kaduukagram, you are directly supporting artisans who continue to practice traditional crafts, providing them with them with the means to sustain their families and communities.

Our Impact

At Kaduukagram, we believe in the power of story telling through crafts. Many of the artisans we work with may not have access to digital platforms, but through Kaduukagram, their work reaches a global audience. Each purchase helps keep these traditions alive, allowing you to be part of larger story-one that connects past, present and future through the art of craft.
